![]() ![]() TL DR: The game is cute and fun and solid so far, and I'm looking forward to new features. I have no idea how well this would work on a smaller screen. Decorating your house and farm with the money you make feels good. It holds you back from progressing too quickly, and it's rewarding to harvest your crops and get XP and other perks from the work you do. The farming part of the game is pretty well balanced and well put together. Building more Oob Coops isn't particularly fun, but it does allow you to automate the production of crops, which is nice. A game like Pokemon makes collecting Pokemon really simple in comparison. Collecting is currently limited by the number of Oob Coops you build on your farm, which seems a bit restrictive. Getting Gleamy Ooblets is very rewarding because they look cool and you get a display of that Ooblet that you can put in the Town Hall. I am constantly on the lookout for new Ooblets and Gleamy Ooblets. For me, as a fan of games such as Magic: The Gathering and Runeterra, there isn't enough complexity and winning doesn't feel very satisfying. Neither of us enjoy the dance battles all that much - for her, it detracts from the main game and is seen as a means to an end. Ooblets don't learn moves past level 3, which lets you spend very little time training a single Ooblet before moving on to your next one. Other Ooblets don't seem to do anything particularly strong or powerful, and are easily overlooked. One Ooblet in particular, Nuppo, is consistently very strong and is in need of changes. ![]() The combat is currently in need of balance and nuance. ![]() ![]() The dialogue, cute graphics, and sound effects are the highlights of the game for us. My girlfriend and I have sunk a total of about 100 hours into the game so far and we love the style. ![]()
